Crocs
Crocs began in 2002 when three friends set out to create the perfect waterproof boat shoe. The Colorado-based label’s subsequent rise to the upper tier of fashion could scarcely have been predicted during the brand’s early years, with its signature foam clog gaining a reputation more for its comfort than its style. Today, the iconic shoe has been adapted and reimagined into scores of casual and chic styles, with Crocs counting Salehe Bembury, BEAMS, ROA, and Balenciaga among its roster of popular collaborations. More of a whole new category than a single brand, Crocs has found a place as an unexpected influencer.
